Opening of education institutions constructed and basically repaired by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in regions takes place

Newly constructed and basically repaired schools and preschool education establishments are commissioned in various districts of the republic in the school year 2020-2021, enjoying the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

Acquaintance took place with newly commissioned schools and preschool education institutions in Khachmaz, Saatly, Kurdamir, Shamakhy, Lerik, Astara and Masally districts.

         

Khachmaz

 

Basically repaired by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Secondary School No.6 named after Jafar Jabbarly in Khachmaz city was commissioned in the new school year.

 

While becoming familiar with the school was informed that Secondary School No.6 named after Jafar Jabbarly started to function in 1976. Due to the school building’s falling into disrepair, basic repair of the school building, designed for 1176 pupils, was carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The education establishment was provided with necessary furniture and equipment, with subject rooms being equipped accordingly. State-of-the-art heating and illumination systems were installed in the school. A boiler house and water tanks were built in the school’s yard.

 

The school building boasts 55 classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, subject laboratories, 2 informatics, military training, first aid and labour training rooms, a library, a canteen, an assembly hall, and open-air sports ground. The school’s yard was laid asphalt, and improvement and greenery planting works were carried out on the territory.

 

Moreover, a memorial plate with pictures of graduates of the school who had become martyrs in Garabagh battles was placed on the school’s territory, and two sports grounds were created.

 

Saatly

 

A new school building, designed for 432 pupils, in Orta Mughan village, a remote settlement of Saatly district, was commissioned for use. The education institution was constructed with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

School headmaster Zakir Taghiyev informed that education in Orta Mughanly first started in 1930 with 4-form classes, turning into a general education establishment in 1958. The building constructed in 1975 has functioned as a full secondary school. Lately, due to the building’s service life expiring, there arose some hardships with conducting teaching. With the construction of a new building, these hard days will be left behind. Constructed to modern standards, the building has been provided with all necessary facilities.

 

 Designed for 432 pupils, the school is two-storied, consisting of 3 buildings. Here are 18 classrooms, subject laboratories, assembly and sports halls, and a buffet. The classrooms and subject laboratories and halls have been provided with necessary inventory. A stadium has also been created on the school’s territory. Improvement works were carried out, and stripes of greenery laid in the school’s yard.

 

The school headmaster mentioned that the fact that such an education establishment is commissioned in a remote village is an obvious example of a care shown towards lifting the quality of education in the country, including Salyan. He thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva on behalf of the school staff, and villagers.

 

Construction of a new school building made pupils and parents happy, along with the teaching staff.

 

Melek Khalilzadeh, a pupil, expressed her joy this way: “We are very happy for the construction of a new building for our school. This is a very big festivity for us. Our classrooms are light and spacious. The school has been provided with all necessary conditions. We’ll try to study in this school with excellent marks”.

 

Villager Huseyn Mukhtarov, whose children study at the school, noted that the hardships they have had with the old building are left behind: “Previous years, there were hardships with teaching. The roof of the building was in bad condition, with no heating in lightless rooms, and both teachers and pupils had hard times. And now, this beautiful school building is constructed. For this, we thank the head of the state and the president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.”

 

Representatives of the Regional Development Public Association and leadership of the district met with teachers and pupils. They wished successes to the staff in the new school year, presenting teaching aids to pupils.

 

Kurdamir

 

The new building of Kurdamir city Nursery-kindergarten No.7 named after H. Hasanov, designed for 40 children, also opened its doors to children on September 16th.

 

It was informed that Kurdamir city Nursery-kindergarten No.7 was constructed in 1992. As the construction works in the building, designed for 140 children, were not completed, it used to function for 40 children only. Because of the building’s fallen into disrepair, a new nursery-kindergarten was constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

 

Designed for 40 children, the nursery-kindergarten accommodates sleeping and play rooms, sports and music halls, a canteen, a first aid room, a kitchen, and other administrative and technical rooms.

 

The school has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment.

 

Reconstruction and greenery planting works were carried out in the kindergarten’s yard.

 

Shamakhy

 

The nursery-kindergarten in Gushchu village of Shamakhy district also started to function. Situated 27 kilometres off Shamakhy, Gushchu village is among the large settlements. At the moment, the village population is 5148 people. Constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the new kindergarten was welcomed by the villagers with great joy.

 

Since 1986, the Gushchu village nursery-kindergarten has operated in a single-storied building constructed for a collective farm, adapted to the conditions of a kindergarten. The kindergarten’s building had fallen into an emergency state as a result of the earthquake occurred in February last year. In the same year, construction of a new kindergarten was launched by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, completing the construction works in August this year. The 40-child nursery-kindergarten boasts sleeping and play rooms, sports and music halls, a kitchen, a canteen, a stand-alone medical building, a laundry, and other administrative and technical rooms. The establishment has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment. Reconstruction and greenery planting works were carried out in the kindergarten’s yard, decorative shrubs and trees planted, and child entertainment facilities and summer houses were installed. 

 

The staff of the kindergarten, as well as parents thanked President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva for such a beautiful place.

 

Atlas Fatullayeva, who brought her grandson Murad to the kindergarten, too, thanking all who have contributed to this job, said: “We thank the First Vice-president, president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva for making us such a present. Our kindergarten had been demolished by the earthquake, and now we have a new one, which is far better than the previous one. Now we can be sure that our children are in a good place. The kindergarten has all necessary conditions”.

 

Lerik

 

Siyov village secondary school named after M. Gafarov in Lerik district started to function as a primary school since 1923. In 1928, a building was constructed for the school in Akushapeshda village. In 1933, it started to function as a 7-year school, receiving a status of a secondary school in 1950. In 1987, a new Finnish type school building was constructed in Siyov village, and the school was moved to Siyov village.

 

Construction of a 132-pupil school building in the village by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation started in late 2019, completing the construction works in July 2020. The two-storied school complex consists of two buildings.

 

The school has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, with subject rooms and laboratories being equipped with visual teaching aid.

 

The school building has 11 classrooms, physics, chemistry and biology laboratories, informatics, military training, first aid and labour training rooms, a canteen, assembly and sports halls, and an open-air sports ground.

 

Improvement and greenery planting works were performed in the yard.

 

Commissioning of the Siyov village secondary school made villagers very happy.

 

And the kindergarten functioning in Piran village started to function in 1989, in a building constructed for the collective farm, part of which is occupied now by Piran village territorial executive representative office. The building had fallen into disrepair over the course of the past period.

 

Construction of a new nursery-kindergarten in the village by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation was launched in late 2019. The construction works were completed in August 2019.

 

Two-storied, 60-child nursery-kindergarten accommodates sleeping and play rooms, sports and music halls, a kitchen, a canteen, a first-aid room, and other administrative and technical rooms. The establishment has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment.

 

Reconstruction and greenery planting works were carried out in the kindergarten’s yard, decorative shrubs and trees planted, and child entertainment facilities and summer houses were built.

 

Astara

 

The nursery-kindergarten in Archivan village of Astara district has operated since 1977, in a single-storied building constructed by a collective farm. As the kindergarten’s building had worn out, it fell into disrepair.

 

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation constructed a new building for the kindergarten, designed for 80 children. The kindergarten boasts sleeping and play rooms, sports and music halls, a kitchen, a canteen, a first-aid room, and other administrative and technical rooms. The establishment has been provided with equipment and furniture.

 

Reconstruction and greenery planting works were performed in the kindergarten’s yard, decorative shrubs and trees planted, and child entertainment facilities were installed.

 

Masally

 

Another kindergarten basically repaired by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is located in Samidkhan village of Masally district.

 

The building of Samidkhan village nursery-kindergarten was constructed in 1987. At different times, a library, a medical station and various organizations operated in the building. Later, the building had fallen into disrepair.

 

The basic repair works were launched in late 2019, completing the works in June this year.

 

Designed for a hundred children, the nursery-kindergarten boasts sleeping and play rooms, sports and music halls, a kitchen, a canteen, a storehouse, a first-aid room, a laundry, and other administrative and technical rooms. The kindergarten has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment. Reconstruction and greenery planting works were performed in the kindergarten’s yard.

 

The villagers thanked President Ilham Aliyev and First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva for repairing the kindergarten building in a remote village.
