Registration for participation in the International Mugham Contest is completed

Registration of international participants to the mugham contest to be held during the Space of Mugham 6^th International Music Festival in the course of June 18 to June 25 was completed.

To be realized with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Culture Ministry, enjoying the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the National Conservatoire of Azerbaijan, the International Music Festivals’ programme include also an international mugham contest. At the contest, our country will be represented by the winners of the National Mugham Contest – Mirali Saryzade, the winner on the category of singing, and Vagif Tahmazov, the winner on the category of instrumental performance.

Up to 30 representatives from China, Iran, Israel, Uzbekistan and Türkiye will compete at the competition, along with Azerbaijan.

The music contest will be held during June 19 to June 22. A closing ceremony of the Space of Mugham will take place at the State Academic Philharmonic of Azerbaijan on the last day of the Festival, June 25. Here will be awarding of the winners of the international mugham contest held within the Festival, and a concert will be presented.

The programme of the Space of Mugham 6^th International Music Festival is distinguished for its richness. Various concerts will be organized in Baku, Aghjabedi and Shusha cities in the framework of the Festival.

The music festival will start on June 18, by concerts of People’s Artist Alim Gasymov at the Heydar Aliyev Palace, by People’s Artist Anvar Sadygov and Honoured Artist Emil Afrasiyab at the National Conservatoire.

Tickets for concerts in Baku will be sold on the website iTicket.az, and at ticket offices.
