An event dedicated to National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s 100th anniversary takes place in Budapest

Enjoying the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Hungary held an event in Ybl Villa , one of the impressive buildings of Budapest city, in connection with the Independence Day of Azerbaijan and the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

 

The National Assembly of Hungary, representatives of other state entities and diplomatic corps accredited in Hungary, as well as members of the Azerbaijani Diaspora attended the event.

 

Speaking at the event, ambassador Tahir Taghyzade emphasized that after regaining its independence, Azerbaijan managed to come out of the crisis and political, safety and economic challenges stronger thanks to the far-sighted policy under the leadership of a personality such as National Leader Heydar Aliyev. Underscoring that strategic partnership relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary on bilateral and multilateral bases developed successfully, Tahir Taghyzade brought to attention that the official visit of the Azerbaijani President in 2023 was a significant step in this direction, and the foundation for fruitful cooperation in future.

 

Deputy Chairperson of Hungary’s National Assembly Sandor Lezsak, First Deputy Director of the Heydar Aliyev Center Fargan Novruzov, President of the International Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Gunay Efendiyeva spoke at the event.

 

Sandor Lezsak congratulated the country on the Independence Day and the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev. He expressed his satisfaction with high level of the relations between Azerbaijan and Hungary.

 

Fargan Novruzov gave information about the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s multilateral activities both inside and outside the country. Restoration projects implemented under the leadership of President of the Foundation, First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, as well as development works carried out on liberated-from-the-occupation territories were brought to attention. Fargan Novruzov underscored that the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has played a big part in promotion of the National Leader’s political legacy.

 

Gunay Efendiyeva emphasized the matchless role of National Leader Heydar Aliyev in the history of Azerbaijan, talking about the significant merits of Heydar Aliyev in building of the Azerbaijani statehood.

 

Members of the music group “Karabakh”, led by People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Mansum Ibrahimov, as well as bembers of the music group “Seven Beauties”, led by Honoured Artist, composer and pianist Turan Manafzade, representing the Turkic states, performed at the event.
