Heroism, patriotism and courage of National Hero Natig Gasymov was revived in this work of stage. Resistance he put up on his own against Armenians’ besiegement in the course of five days after he lost his six companions-in-arms, and the bravery he displaced to save the lives of 22 citizens who had been taken hostage in Khojaly have been staged.

Natig Gasymov was born in 1971 in the village of Kichik Garamuradly of Gedabey district. Still underage, his family moved to Mingachevir. During the First Karabakh War, he volunteered to go to the front, and displayed bravery at the battles.

Although Natig Gasymov was under siege alone during 5 days in the village of Pirler of Khojaly, he did not surrender, putting up resistance against Armenians. After Armenians threatened him to kill 22 citizens taken hostage in Khojaly, he left the Albanian church where he had found shelter. Till the very end, he did not give up the Azerbaijani Flag he had held in his hand to Armenians.

By the Order of President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, dated 25 June 2024, he was posthumously honoured with the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan.
