Turkic World Writers and Artists Foundation (TURKSAV) held presentation of the 15th Service to Turkic World Award in Baku, June 1.
Yahya Akengin, the President of TURKSAV, expressed delight of presentation of the Award in Baku. He talked of the Turkic culture, common culture and art of Azerbaijan and Turkey, world-famous persons of the two countries, informed of the history of the Award.
Y.Akengin mentioned the Award is given to persons and institutions from 6 countries. He expressed honor for presenting the Service to Turkic World Award also to Mehriban Aliyeva, Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP. The First Lady of Azerbaijan received the Award upon the TURKSAV Board decision for the humanitarian programmes Heydar Aliyev Foundation implemented for refugees and IDPs from the Armenia-occupied territories and the huge contributions she gave to the preservation and promotion of tangible and intangible cultural monuments of Azerbaijani Turks, the rich part of cultural heritage of Turkic world.
Since the First Lady is on the visit, the Award was presented to Ambassador of Turkey to Azerbaijan Hulusi Kylych.
Mr Kylych expressed huge honor for presenting the Award to Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, the President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP.
Eminent figures of politics, public, literature and art and mass media representatives of Azerbaijan were present in the event.
