Tatyana Ivshina: Cooperation between Ulyanovsk and Heydar Aliyev Foundation is the continuation of friendly traditions

One of the greatest projects of the successful cooperation between Ulyanovsk and Heydar Aliyev Foundation was the opening of the monument to national leader Heydar Aliyev in 2009 due to support of the Foundation and Azerbaijan Diaspora in Ulyanovsk. We are very glad that the presidents of our countries attended the solemn opening ceremony of the monument.


Advisor to the Ulyanovsk Region Governor, Director of “Ulyanovsk – Capital of Culture” Foundation Tatyana Ivshina said these words in an answer to question from AzerTAg reporter about cooperation between Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the City of Ulyanovsk in a press conference in Moscow.  


Stressing the friendly relations between Russia, including Ulyanovsk and Azerbaijan, T.Ivshina said the Azerbaijani culture museum was opened at a secondary school in Ulyanovsk by the initiative of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the school’s building reconstructed due to the Foundation’s support. “Thanks to the Foundation, both the museum and the school got a new look.”, said Tatyana Ivshina.


The Advisor to the Ulyanovsk Region Governor highly valued the cooperation with Azerbaijan as part of the CIS projects.


She mentioned Azerbaijani Ambassador in Russia, Chairman of the Board of the Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Foundation Polad Bulbuloghlu took active part in the previous cultural forum in Ulyanovsk within the CIS cultural capitals programme. T.Ivshina said: “Many creative teams from Azerbaijan attended our forum last year. In short, this direction of the cooperation receives an all-round support and we hope the Azerbaijani colleagues will also participate in this year’s Ulyanovsk cultural forum that will bring all CIS countries together.”


Tatyana Ivshina wished the Ulyanovsk City Administration to continue cooperation with Azerbaijan, also cooperation in the framework of Baku International Humanitarian Forum.
