Presentation was held for the book `Goodwill Ambassador` devoted to activity of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva

On July 22 at `Natavan` club of Azerbaijan Writers Union the presentation was held for the book `Goodwill Ambassador` devoted to President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva.

 

Scientific editor of the book and foreword author, deputy minister of education, member of Political Council of New Azerbaijan Party, professor Irada Huseynova opened the action with her speech.

 

Deputy chairman of New Azerbaijan Party, NAP executive secretary, MP Ali Ahmadov, secretary of Azerbaijan Writers Union, people`s writer Chingiz Abdullayev, director of Azerbaijan Ataturk Center, MP, professor Nizami Jafarov, chairwoman of State Committee on Woman Problems Zahra Guliyeva, MPs Sudeyf Imamverdiyev, Hasan Mirzayev, department head of President`s Executive Office Gafar Aliyev and others addressed the action.

 

They widely talked of important services of Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, in field of study of national wealth of Azerbaijani people - Heydar Aliyev legacy, regular propaganda of ideas of great leader, big social, cultural and medical projects implemented on her personal initiative and under her leadership, construction of 132 educational centers within the Program `New school to renewing Azerbaijan`, which is widespread at present in all the regions of the republic, importance of the programs `Development of children`s homes and boarding schools`, `Elimination of children from the state child institutions in Azerbaijan Republic and alternative care`, `For the life without thalassemia`, `Mugham destgahs`, `Highest care to diabetes-affected children`, stated all the materials of the book cover comprehensive information on all these.

 

It was emphasized that republican community highly values the purposeful activity of Mrs Aliyeva, as head of the Foundation of Friends of Azerbaijani Culture, Gymnastics Federation, in popularization of our mughams that are unique pearls and precious wealth of our folk music, protection and development of our national and moral values, expansion of Olympic sport movement, noted that such a valuable functioning brings her the prestige of the society.

 

It was mentioned that Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, who always keeps higher the principles of charity, humanity, mercy and modesty, was rightly elected `Woman of year` in the poll recently held.

 

Nearly 100 woman organizations of the republic selected Mrs Aliyeva, possessing high moral qualities of Azeri woman, daily expanding her philanthropic activity, their leader.

 

Referring to the materials of the book, speakers stressed Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva talks with people, takes interest to their cares and problems and helps their settlement while visiting the regions of republic along with Azeri President Ilham Aliyev, the very worthy continuer of everlasting ideas and political line of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev.

 

High culture, modesty of UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva brought her prestige in foreign countries. This was repeatedly mentioned in the speeches.

 

Labor of the compilers of this book, prepared in base of materials and color images of AzerTAj and considered for wide range of readers, - member of NAP`s Political Council, head of press service Huseyn Pashayev, member of New Azerbaijan Party Aftandil Gasimov were highly valued. Speakers expressed gratitude to UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mrs Aliyeva, who has chosen charity, mercy and national patriotism the motto of her life, for the valuable aid she renders to settlement of vital problems of our country and people, wished her bigger successes for prosperity of native Azerbaijan.

 

MPs, state and governmental reps, famous scientific, culture and art figures of republic were present in the ceremony.

 

Book `Goodwill Ambassador` was distributed to the action participants.
