Representatives of ANSA and State Administrative Academy visit Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Members of Azerbaijan National Sciences Academy Board, structural heads and a group of teachers and students of State Administrative Academy by President of Republic of Azerbaijan came to Heydar Aliyev Foundation on December 8 to honor memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.

Executive director of the Foundation Anar Elekberov said such a ceremony of familiarization with the Foundation was organized for the first time on the request of scientific and higher education academies, greeted the prominent scientists and pedagogues of the republic, students distinguished in education on behalf of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azeri Culture Friends Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP.

Then the visitors were informed in detail of the establishment and activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Major goals and tasks of the Foundation started to function on May 10, 2004 are to propagate and pass to future generations the philosophy and idea of Azerbaijanism created by Heydar Aliyev. In addition, from the first day of creation the Foundation set the duties meeting the requirements of the time, implemented global projects. The Foundation carries out very big projects on assistance to the people needing care and help, solution of social problems of people, aid to children trained in children homes and boarding schools, suffering from thalassemia, diabetes, education science, and culture. In frame of the program `New school to new Azerbaijan`, which is one of such projects, 130 schools were built and commissioned during second half of this year in regions of the republic.

Visitors were familiarized with rich exhibition of the Foundation. Documents taken from personal archive of genius person Heydar Aliyev and covering his childhood, youth, university years, separate periods of his activity, pictures reflecting the very different times of his life and creating a big imagination of an entire period of history of Azerbaijan, gifts granted to him by famous political figures of the world, books written on him, his photos taken with leaders of different states, figures of science, culture and art caused big interest.

Then, film `Moments of great life` on the great leader was shown in the cinema-hall of the Foundation.

Deputy director of Literature Institute named after Nizami on scientific issues Maharram Gasimli said in the first period of his leadership in the republic by personal initiative of Heydar Aliyev jubilees of numerous poets and composers of Azerbaijan were solemnly marked in Moscow Kremlin Palace, a number of figures of culture and art granted the highest honorary titles of USSR, a real renaissance took place in all fields of our culture. High-level realization of the 1300th anniversary of `Kitabi-Dede Gorgud` epos all over the world in level of UNESCO, adoption of orders on development of our language and alphabet after our national leader returned to the political leadership of the country on the insisting request of people can be valued as a bright sample of service to the nation, its cultural and moral values. Preparation and publication of the multivolume on history, literature and folklore of Azerbaijan indicate to connection of the great leader to the national origin, wisdom of Dede Gorgud.

Director of ANSA Geography Institute, academician Budag Budagov noted genius person Heydar Aliyev left deep feelings in hearts of Azeri scientists. Samples of care shown to the development of our science by him are numerous. Those having led the country in 1992-1993 wanted to annul Academy, which is the scientific center of our country, saying `There is no academy in Turkey and Iran`. Only return of the genius person to the power in the republic saved the people of tens of such disasters. Saying `Azerbaijan National Sciences Academy is national wealth of our people, it needs to protect and develop it` he granted national status to the Academy, special law was adopted, material and technical basis widened, new institutes established, salary lifted for a few times. There is his eternal statue in heart of each of us. Our debt is to study his rich life and scientific-theoretical heritage and deliver it to future generations and the youth.

Sharing his impressions of familiarization with the Foundation, student of State Administrative Academy Islam Abdullayev said the rich exhibition showed us the most honorable life of Heydar Aliyev. Words `Azerbaijan is my heart, my breath, my life. All my life was connected to my nation, to my Homeland - Azerbaijan` and the poem `Azerbaijan` of Samad Vurgun said by heart the great leader in the film we just watched is reflection of greatness of this love. Young generation, specially young political scientists should deeply learn legacy of Heydar Aliyev and always take its benefit.

President of Azerbaijan National Sciences Academy Mahmud Karimov, rector of State Administrative Academy by President of Republic of Azerbaijan, professor Seyfaddin Gandilov underlined the familiarization with the Foundation left rich impressions on both groups, highly valued the projects implemented under leadership of Mehriban Aliyeva, President of the, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, noted the very valuable and wide-scale charitable works done by her are welcomed by the intellectuals. They characterized election of Mrs Aliyeva the supreme legislative body of the republic as a value set to her activity and reflection of love of people.
