Reps of Azerbaijan Writers Union and Economy University visit Heydar Aliyev Foundation
Members of Azerbaijan Writers Union and a group of teachers and students of Azerbaijan Economy University came to Heydar Aliyev Foundation on December 9 to honor memory of national leader Heydar Aliyev.
Executive director of the Foundation Anar Elekberov greeted the prominent writers and poets of the country, economic scientists and students distinguished in education on behalf of Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azeri Culture Friends Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP.
Then the visitors were informed in detail of the establishment and activities of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Then visitors were familiarized with rich exhibition of the Foundation. Documents taken from personal archive of genius person Heydar Aliyev and covering his childhood, youth, university years, separate periods of his activity, pictures reflecting the very different times of his life and creating a big imagination of an entire period of history of Azerbaijan, gifts granted to him by famous political figures of the world, books written on him, his photos taken with leaders of different states, figures of science, culture and art caused big interest. Photos taken in the opening of mausoleum of Molla Panah Vagif, one of the classics of Azeri literature, in jubilees of various figures of literature, conventions of writers took the visitors to the past.
Then, film `Moments of great life` on the great leader was shown in the cinema-hall of the Foundation.
People`s poet Nariman Hasanzade said Heydar Aliyev was genius person, world of thought, idea and work, phenomenal person, who loved so much his nation and homeland. Those personally contacting him can feel that greatness. The great leader has immeasurable services in development of Azeri literature and its popularization in the world. In the first period of his leadership in the republic by personal initiative of Heydar Aliyev jubilees of numerous poets and composers of Azerbaijan were solemnly marked in Moscow Kremlin Palace, a number of figures of culture and art granted the highest honorary titles of USSR, a real renaissance took place in all fields of our culture.
Heydar Aliyev showed care to every famous figure of literature. In 1986 I visited grave of Mrs Zarifa Aliyeva in cemetery of Novodevichye in Moscow. I saw Heydar Aliyev there. Graves of Nazim Hikmet, Sergey Yesenin were by side. We laid flowers on their tombs as well, we talked much by the grave of beautiful person, kind intellectual, doctor Mrs Zarifa Aliyeva. I told I had devoted a poem to Mrs Zarifa Aliyeva that had not been published yet. He took it and said would read at home. 12 years after that I was phoned and told memorial evening of Mrs Zarifa Aliyeva would be held tomorrow and Mr President told to invite Nariman Hasanzade also to read a poem that he dedicated to Zarifa Aliyeva. Frankly speaking I was upset because I did not have that poem as I had given the handwriting to Heydar Aliyev in Moscow. A few minutes later I was called again and told that Mr President said not to worry, he keeps the handwriting. I read the poem in that action for the first time, then it was published on the newspapers.
I have created his bright image in my works `Atabeyler` and `Yurush of Pompey to Gafgaz`. He was aware of this and expressed satisfaction for many times.
When he heard about the untreatable disease of my wife he personally telephoned the best doctors in Moscow. Doctors did everything for her treatment, which lasted more than a year, as a result of which she lived a bit more thanks to God and him.
He had a nature and heart of poet, composer, he was beautiful painter, architect by specialization and in this field possessed rich knowledge and experience. Taking of the literature he seemed to be critic, scientist of studies of literature, talking about the music he seemed to be expert in music. He was very attentive. I have witnessed for many times, he had reconciled famous poets, writers and composers who did not speak with each other, explaining them that such a relationship between them damages development of literature and culture, people, create a negative image about us.
Our consolation is that son of that great person Ilham Aliyev, who has passed through his school, political intellect, wisdom, rules today our state, develops the assets gained in all fields according to the new period. He takes necessary actions for development of our culture, art, respects our cultural and moral values. We believe he will be in this way till the end.
Head of Economy University, professor Shamsaddin Hajiyev highly valued the works done by the Foundation, major goals and tasks of which are to propagate and pass to future generations the philosophy and idea of Azerbaijanism created by Heydar Aliyev, in field of assistance to the people needing care and help, solution of social problems of people, aid to children trained in children homes and boarding schools, suffering from thalassemia, diabetes, education science, and culture. He noted construction and commissioning of 130 schools in frame of the program `New school to new Azerbaijan` in regions of the republic is historical event. Every Azerbaijani loving its nation and homeland has in its heart eternal statue of Heydar Aliyev. Our debt is to study his rich life and scientific heritage and to deliver it to the young generations. Familiarization with the Foundation left rich impressions in all us and the works done by President of the Foundation, UNESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mrs Aliyeva in creation of this sacred center, research and collection of legacy of Heydar Aliyev and its agitation and popularization in the world deserve the high value. All, including the intellectuals approve her multilateral activity. Election of Mrs Aliyeva to the supreme legislative body is one another proof to this.
