On May 30th, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation arranged Iftar tables on the occasion of the Ramadan month in Sheki and Pirallahy.
At the Iftar ceremonies, attended by religious figures, invalids of the Garabagh War, and people from low-income families, ayahs and prayers from holy Qur’an were read, and advantages of Ramadan were talked about.
It was noted that the people of Azerbaijan has been celebrating the Ramadan Holiday with the feeling of great satisfaction. The month of Ramadan, in which Muslims’ holy book Qur’an was sent down, demonstrates celebration of unity between people, equality, benevolence and compassion. In this month, people gain a chance to fulfil their conscious duties before God and religion more thoroughly, experiencing the joy of victory of spiritual richness and ethical perfectness over desire.
It was emphasized that organization of Iftar tables on holy Ramadan days was an obvious example of the strong unity between the state and religion in our country for common purpose.
Prosperity and peace were wished to the people and state at the ceremony, and prayers were read for the souls of brave sons of the Homeland who sacrificed their lives for the independence and territorial integrity of Azerbaijan.
