The Heydar Aliyev Foundation organized a festivity, full of surprises, for children in need of care on the eve of the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.

 

Children being brought up at various children’s homes and boarding schools, those with restricted health condition and in need of special care, as well as children of martyrs were invited to the festivity held at Gulustan Palace.

 

The children arrived at the place where the festivity took place by specially allocated for them busses. From the very beginning, the children entered a space full of magic and wonders. At the palace, decorated to taste and reminiscent of the winter fairy tale, they were welcomed by animation film characters. The children were given a chance to revive their favourite characters themselves.

 

The festivity started by a show of a video film. The video film about the care shown by Heydar Aliyev - the National Leader of the Azerbaijani people, a great friend and protector of children – towards the new generation, spending time with children at the World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year festivities at different years, was watched with great interest. The video film contained also interesting moments from meetings held by President Ilham Aliyev and First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva with children, as well as with the new generation that returned to liberated lands.

 

An entertaining programme called “The Magic of the New Year”, presented thereafter, favoured the children with festive mood. The participation of various child groups and masters of art of Azerbaijan made the New Year festivity more colourful.

 

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been showing a special attention towards solving problems related to children deprived of parental protection, those with restricted health condition, as well as children of our martyrs, who have sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, trying always to cover children with care, implementing projects aiming at their health and education.

 

At the end of the traditional New Year Festivity, children were presented gifts from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Children were photographed with characters of fairy tales, living moments full of joy.
