Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace Newspaper of Strasbourg writes about the events being held by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

A series of articles were published in Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace, a daily newspaper of Strasbourg, about the events associated with Azerbaijan that were held during June  in the city of Melouse of the Alsace Region.

One of these articles is called “Mahsati Ganjavi at the Faculty of Literature”. The article talks about the opening of a discussion room named after Azerbaijan’s eminent poetess Mahsati Ganjavi at the Literature, Languages and Humanitarian Sciences Faculty of the Université de Haute-Alsace of Melouse with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Author of the article Jean Marie Valder states that the objective of this project, which is being implemented with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, headed by Azerbaijani First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, and Azerbaijan’s Embassy in France is to introduce Azerbaijan’s history and cultural treasures to the French. The author mentions about the exhibition devoted to the life and activity of Mahsati Ganjavi organized in connection with the 900th  anniversary of the poetess a few month ago in Melouse: “Born in the ancient Azerbaijani city of Ganja, the poetess lived in the 12th century. Her works embodies women’s freedom and equal right for them along with men.”

Noting the high-level scientific conference devoted to the life and creativity of Mahsati Ganjavi held at the Melouse University, the author underlined that a discussion room named after this Azerbaijani poetess had been opened in this university. In the article, the support provided by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the reconstruction of the room, as well as demonstration of the poetess’s works translated into English and French are highly appreciated, referring to faculty’s dean Greta Komur-Thilloy.

In another article printed in the newspaper entitled “For the search of communities”, the author writes about the opening of a discussion room named after Mahsati Ganjavi at the Literature, Languages and Humanitarian Sciences Faculty of the Université de Haute-Alsace of Melouse due to the benevolent mission of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
