The Days of Azerbaijani Culture held in the French city of Cannes with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has received coverage on Euronews TV Channel.
The concert and exhibition organized within the framework of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture was talked about in the plot devoted to the event, and it was noted that the main exhibition was called “Azerbaijan- A Land of Traditions and Future”.
Member of the Friends of Azerbaijan Association Nathaniel Becker noted, in his interview to the TV Channel, that the exposition consisted of three sections: “Its central section consisted of fine-applied art, carpet-making, national music instruments and items of coppersmithery”.
It was also stated in the plot that another section of the exhibition was devoted to great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Nizami Ganjavi: “Nizami Ganjavi was one of the most eminent poets of the medieval times. He brought a spoken language and realistic style into epic poetry. The most favourite characters of one of them are Leyli and Majnun - heroes of an Eastern legend”.
The TV Channel talked about another section of the exhibition, which provided information about Azerbaijani artists; works by Khalida Safarova and Kamil Najafzadeh were displayed there: ”The exhibition “Azerbaijan – A Land of Traditions and Future” will continue until July 31st”.
Further in the plot, it was noted that the Days of Azerbaijani Culture was finalized by a fashion show of dresses made by designer Renato Balestra, and Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva attended the event: “The Days of Azerbaijani Culture is one of the phases of preparation for the first European Games to be held in June next year in Baku”.
