Heydar Aliyev Foundation will organize memorial ceremonies in foreign countries due to Khojaly genocide

Nowadays, when ideological propaganda is of huge importance, Heydar Aliyev Foundation attaches special importance to informing the international public of Azerbaijan’s realities, real essence of the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict. Preparation and realization of actions in a number of countries due to the anniversary of Khojaly genocide is the next step in this field.


The number of cities where memorial ceremonies will be organized this year by the Foundation due to the anniversary of Khojaly genocide has increased. The Foundation will hold this year series of events in Washington, New York, Warsaw, London, Hague, Dubai and Kiev. The anniversary of Khojaly genocide will be marked also in Moscow, Berlin, Geneva, Strasbourg, Brussels, Bucharest, Ankara, Istanbul, Paris, Prague and Tbilisi where it was marked last year too.


In the memorial ceremonies film ‘Khojaly genocide’ made by Heydar Aliyev Foundation will be shown, participants will be familiarized with photos reflecting atrocities committed by Armenians in Khojaly and materials posted in different years on influential publications of foreign countries on Khojaly genocide. As well, expositions consisted of selections of the art contest ‘Khojaly in the eyes of children’, Heydar Aliyev Foundation held at the secondary schools and children homes, collection ‘Realities of Garabagh’ and book ‘War against Azerbaijan: Targeting cultural heritage’, developed by the Foundation, will be displayed in the memorial ceremonies.


Collection of booklets ‘Realities of Garabagh’ briefly provides detailed information on history of Garabagh, start of the conflict, Khojaly genocide, consequences of Armenian aggression, action of Armenian terrorist organizations against Azerbaijan. The collection have been published in English, French, Russian, German and Hungarian languages and distributed in a number of countries. English-language book ‘War against Azerbaijan: Targeting cultural heritage’ contains information on vandalism acts Armenians committed against our national and historical monuments.


Representatives of different organizations, diplomatic missions, city residents, mass media are invited to these events aiming to provide the world community with fair and correct information on Khojaly genocide and form the public opinion.


Besides, propaganda materials of Heydar Aliyev Foundation about Khojaly genocide will be distributed in a number of countries.
