A jazz concert will be held within the Days of Azerbaijani Culture in Cannes

Today, a jazz concert will be held in Cannes within the Days of Azerbaijani Culture.

In a one-hour concert program, famous jazz compositions of Azerbaijan, as well as samples of mugham-jazz will be presented by Shahin Novrasli, Isfar Sarabski and Sabina Babayeva.

Here will also be presented the book “Anthology of the Azerbaijani Jazz” devoted to the history of Azerbaijani jazz, which has been prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

Let’s note that official opening of the Days of Azerbaijani Culture took place yesterday in Cannes, with organizational support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and Mayor of Cannes Bernard Brochand attended the event.

The first event was inauguration of the exhibitions “Maiden Tower”, “Gazelles” and “Cultural Treasures of Azerbaijan – the Pearl of the Caucasus”.

The “Maiden Tower” exhibition organized to popularize the Maiden Tower, and the “Gazelles” exhibition to draw attention to the endangered species of gazelles will be held during twenty days.

Yesterday, Azerbaijan’s fireworks group made official opening of the “Pyrotechnics Art” (d'Art Pyrotechnique) Cannes festival by a grandiose show program.

These days the city of Cannes and surrounding districts have been decorated with banners and posters about Azerbaijan, and our flags.
