An Evening of Azerbaijan will be held in Hamburg with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

An Evening of Azerbaijan will be held, December 5th, with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Germany, in Hamburg, one of the largest port cities of Germany.

To be held in historical Börsensaal of Hamburg, the evening will feature painting- and photo-exhibitions, and photo-projections of these works.

In one of the stands, painting works by young artists that were winners of the exhibition-contests “Germany through an artist’s eyes”, traditionally held on the theme of Germany, will be displayed. Presentation of works drawn by young artists that have never been to Germany, using their creative imagination of this country, had earlier been held in the cities of Stuttgart and Cologne.

In another stand to be demonstrated at the event will be displayed photos reflecting the life of Germans who have lived in Azerbaijan ever since the 19th century. The pictures show the activity and lifestyle of the Siemens brothers who had built the biggest in Europe and state-of-the-art copper melting factory in Gadabay, and thousands of their fellow countrymen  in Azerbaijan.

A concert by Isfar Sarabski, a virtuosic jazz performer, will also take place at the Evening of Azerbaijan.
