A Week of Gobustan will be held at UNESCO Headquarters and in the city of Strasbourg

A Week of Gobustan will be held, September 15-16, at UNESCO Headquarters, with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the Permanent Representative Office of the Republic of Azerbaijan under UNESCO.

Within the framework of the week, with a view to more broadly popularizing the Gobustan State Historical and Artistic Reserve – the symbol of Azerbaijan’s old history, which was included in UNESCO’s World Heritage List,  an exhibition of photos and items will be opened, various types of promotional materials distributed, and the ballet “Shadows of Gobustan” will be shown.

High-ranking officials from our country, UNESCO Secretariat and member countries are expected to attend the ceremony.

A delegation led by minister of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan Abulfaz Garayev will also participate in the event.
