Azerbaijani Language and Literature Forum to be held

Azerbaijani Language and Literature Forum will be held, for the first time, in Azerbaijan.

To be organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, enjoying the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan on September 24, the forum bill be realized in the framework of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of National Leader Heydar Aliyev.

To be attended by well-known linguists and literary critics, writers and publishers, the forum will be launched in the city of Shamakhy, which has favoured the Azerbaijani literature and culture with eminent personalities, on September 2, to continue in the city of Baku on September 3 and 4.

At the forum, where extensive discussions will be held with participation of the literary and scientific community, exchange of views will be held on the role of the Azerbaijani language and literature in immortalizing, advancement and promotion of our culture, preservation of clarity of the Azerbaijani language, contemporary literary processes, ideological essence of the child literature in the country, and its contemporary problems, current status of the national book industry and the state’s support to this field, promotion of reading among children and juveniles, literary factor in the development of theatre and cinema etc.

Views and proposals of the experts in the framework of the forum will be generalized and reflected in the State Programme “Azerbaijani Culture – 2040”.
