Uzeir Hajibeyli 16th International Music Festival to take place

On the occasion of the National Day of Music, the Uzeir Hajibeyli 16th International Music Festival will be organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture in the course of September 18 to 28.

 

Along with Azerbaijan, famous performers and music groups from USA, Russia, Germany, Spain, Austria, Korea, Türkiye, Brazil, India and other countries will participate in the Festival.

 

Concerts, shows, exhibitions, scientific conferences and master classes will take place within the framework of the Festival in Baku, Shusha, Ganja and in a number of other cities, in the open air, as well as in enclosed spaces.

 

On the Festival days, an exhibition entitled “Tracing our Culture on Patterns” will be presented by the Centre for Scientific, Methodical and Professional Development on Culture of the Ministry of Culture will be held at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after M.Magomayev.

 

Official opening of the U.Hajibeyli 16th International Music Festival will take place at the Azerbaijan State Academic Philharmonic named after M.Magomayev on September 18th.

 

The Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra named after U.Hajibeyli (artistic director and chief conductor: Honoured Artist Fuad Ibrahimov) and the Azerbaijan State Choir (artistic director and chief conductor: People’s Artist Gulbajy Imanova) will perform at the event. Soloists, People’s Artist Ulviyya Hajibeyova (piano), Inara Babayeva (soprano) and laureate of international contests Mahir Taghyzade (baritone) will present their performances.


Demonstration of feature films made on the basis of Uzeir Hajibeyli’s works will take place at Heydar Aliyev centers and cinemas across the country, as well as organization of various events are planned at cultural centres operating in foreign countries.
