“Winter Tale” to be presented by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

On February 7, the International Music Festival under the name “Winter Tale” will be organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, enjoying the support of the Ministry of Culture and the Baku Music Academy.


The Winter Fairy Tale will bring together art-lovers as a continuation of the Gabala International Music Festival, which has been traditionally held since 2009.


World-renowned musicians, including performers and conductors, as well as music bands, from Germany, the Great Britain, Italy, Poland and Russia are expected to perform, along with those from Azerbaijan, at the Winter Fairy Tale International Music Festival.

 

Performers:


Farhad Badalbeyli, Emil Afrasiab, Murad Adygozalzade, Nazrin Aslanly, Nigar Jafarova, Yegane Akhundova, Yusif Eyvazov; musical groups - the Symphonic Orchestra of the Azerbaijan State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Baku Chamber Orchestra, students of the Baku Choreographic Academy, Gaytaghy Instrumental Ensemble from Azerbaijan, Euphoric Ensemble of Aydar Gaynullin, who represents Germany and Russia, Dmitri Sitkovetski from the Great Britain, Anastasiya Bartoli, Sergio Vitale from Italy, and Glassduo Ensemble from Poland.


Programme:


Interesting programmes will be presented at various cultural centres of Gabala, by organizing vocal and chamber instrumental music evenings, and ballet shows: pieces from Gara Garayev’s “Seven Beauties”, Niyazi’s work “Arzu”, Uzeir Hajibeyli’s Koroghlu Opera, Antonio Vivaldi’s “Seasons of the year”, Giacomo Puccini’s “Turandot”, Giuseppe Verdi’s “Traviata” operas, Peter Tchaikovsky’s “Shelkunchik” Ballet, as well as various music compositions of Edward Grigg, Frederique Chopin, Yohan Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and other composers.
