An international conference entitled “Launch of the AI Index for the Islamic World” to take place in Baku

Director General of ICESCO Salim bin Mohammad Al-Malik and Supreme Chairperson of Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Foundation Sheikh Rashid bin Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum are taking a visit to Baku to attend the international conference “Launch of the AI Index for the Islamic World”.

The event will take place at the Heydar Aliyev Center on December 8 and 9, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Science and Education, in partnership with ICESCO.

Developed with a view to measuring AI’s development tendencies on the scientific basis, the document “The AI Index in the Islamic World” will be presented for the first time at the Baku conference.

The conference aims at strengthening cooperation on AI in the Islamic world, as well as having discussions over the ethical, social and economic effects of AI. 

In total, about 150 participants, including education ministers of 10 ICESCO-member countries, international experts and representatives of state authorities, will attend the event. Within the framework of the conference will be held discussions over the role of AI in the education system, and a final declaration will be adopted on “The Launch of the AI Index for the ICESCO-member countries”.
