New mugham TV contest to start under the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

New mugham TV contest will start under the support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation upon the project by Azerbaijan Culture Foundation.

As a result of the casting, which covered regions, Sumgayit and Baku and ended January 5, 20 participants were identified.

The jury of the contest that is held for the third time consists of people’s artists Alibaba Mammadov, Arif Babayev, Aghakhan Abdullayev, Ramiz Zohrabov, Sakina Ismayılova, Mansum Ibrahimov, as well Nadir Akhundov.

This contest will also base on decision of the jury, not SMS, said M.Ibrahimov, who told the contest will take place at the International Mugham Center and be live broadcast on AzTV from February 1.  

The First Mugham TV Contest was held in 2005. Winners of the second one, which was organized in 2007, were Elmaddin Ibrahimov and Gullu Muradova.
