The new building of the secondary school named after Babajan Aliyev, a martyr of the First Karabakh War, in Ovchulu village has been constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The village school has operated in a building constructed for 200 pupils in 1975. Over the course of the past period, the school building had worn out physically, becoming useless. For this reason, a new school building was constructed, to accommodate 280 pupils.

The two-storied school is comprised of 5 buildings. The education establishment has 14 classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, informatics, military training and medical aid rooms, labour training rooms for girls and boys, an assembly hall, a sports hall, and an open-air sports ground. Improvement and greenery-planting works were performed in the backyard of the school.

The school has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, with subject rooms and laboratories being equipped with visual aids. Improvement and greenery-planting works were performed in the backyard of the school.
