Shamakhy European Lycée
The new building of the European Lycée located in Shamakhy district was constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
The previous building where the European lycée had been located earlier was constructed in 1937. Due to the reconstructed - in 1987 - building of the European Lycée becoming useless for operation, a new building was constructed.
Three- and four-storied, consisting of 7 buildings, this education establishment is meant for 1200 pupils. The lycée has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, with the subject rooms and laboratories being equipped with visual aids.
Here are created over 50 classrooms, laboratories for physics, chemistry and biology, rooms for informatics and STEAM, military training, first aid and labour training rooms, a library, a canteen, assembly and sports halls, as well as an outdoor sports ground.
