II International Music Festival starts in Gabala

II International Music Festival started in Gabala City on July 25 due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation.

The Festival was opened with ‘Holiday Overture’ by Ogtay Zulfugarov, ‘Concert for fortepiano and orchestra’ by Fikret Emirov, parts from ballet ‘Path of Thunder’ by Gara Garayev and ‘Concert for fortepiano and orchestra’ by Vasif Adygozalov, which were conducted by Yalchyn Adygozalov and Azad Aliyev. The works were performed by the Azerbaijan State Orchestra named after Uzeyir Hajybeyli. The soloists in the concert were professor Farhad Bedelbeyli, Rector of Baku Music Academy, and Murad Adygozalzade.

The Festival that will be closed on August 5 will feature different concerts and events, as well performance by talented musicians from the U.S., Russia, England, France and Italy, the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Great Britain, the honor guest in the Festival, works by world-famous musicians such as Yuri Bashmet, Boris Berezovsky. The Festival will also hold master-classes as in the previous year.

The Festival will officially be opened on July 30.
