Heydar Aliyev Museum was opened in Shamkir city

Heydar Aliyev Museum was opened in Shamkir city, November 1.

President Ilham Aliyev cut the ribbon symbolizing the opening, was familiarized with the Museum.

Director of Museum Fakhri Yusibov informed linguistic cabinet, administrative rooms and archive are located at first floor of the 2-floor building covering 567 sq.m. 2 exposition halls and electron library are in second floor.

Exposition arranged upon design of Heydar Aliyev Foundation includes photos of the great leader on childhood and youth, activity in national security agencies, both eras of leadership in republic, activity in field of development and realization of new oil strategy of Azerbaijan, army building, foreign visits, different books as well. Materials on life and activity of great leader are saved on computer and disks. Special course will be opened at the Museum due to support of Heydar Aliyev Foundation for very active youth and schoolchildren of district.

President Ilham Aliyev and his spouse Mehriban Aliyeva viewed painting `Heydar Aliyev and savior of Azerbaijan` created by artist Afag Kerimova that reflects historical services of national leader in various fields, the Museum exposition, photos on visits of the eternal President to Shamkir in 1972, 1979, 1998 and 2000, meetings he held here, bust of national leader set by people`s artist Natig Aliyev.

The President noted importance of such Museums in study of rich legacy of Heydar Aliyev by the youth.

President signed the honor book of Museum.
