An evening of Azerbaijani mugham was held in the French city of Lyon
First evening of mugham was organized in the French city of Lyon by the “House of Azerbaijan” functioning in Paris, February 9. The evening was organized by support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the International Mugham Centre, within the framework of the 3rd International Mugham Festival.
Opening the event, chairman of the “House of Azerbaijan” Mirvari Fataliyeva informed the visitors of our country’s rich culture, mugham music genre, a product of folk art, at the same time, of the organization itself.
Young mugham performers Nigar Shabanova and Elnur Zeynalov performed mughams and tasnifs.
They were accompanied by Rovshan Gourbanov, Jeyhun Muradov, Kamran Karimov, Chinara Mutallibova and Joshgun Sadigov in musical instruments.
The concert was attended by listeners coming from the city of Lyon, as well as from French cities like Vienne, Marseille and Annecy.
