A gala concert by winners of the 3rd Republican Mugham Contest took place in Baku

The 3^rd Republican Mugham Contest was held at the International Mugham Centre, February 11 to February 15, with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and joint organizational support from the Ministry of Education and the National Conservatory of Azerbaijan.

Participants that passed the selection rounds have been granted a right to participate in the “World of Mugham” 3^rd International Mugham Festival. A gala concert by the winners of the Contest took place at the International Mugham Centre.

It was noted at the event that big steps are being taken in the country for the development and promotion of mugham. It was also mentioned that, founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev, the cultural policy has been successfully developed to date,  and President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva have done great work to promote the music of mugham in the world. The winners were rewarded with diplomas and prizes.
