Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the inauguration of young Russian artist’ exhibition

Inauguration of an exhibition of young Russian artists - participants  of the project by the International Mobile Art Academy - took place at the Modern Art Centre, May 9.


Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva attended the exhibition.


Thanking the Heydar Aliyev Foundation for the support provided to hold the exhibition, Honoured Person of Art of Russia, Director of the International Programs Department Tatyana Shumova expressed pleasure of being in Baku. In her opinion, the exhibition of young Russian artists - participants  of the project by the International Mobile Art Academy  will contribute to the development of humanitarian relations between the two countries in humanitarian field further.


Then Vice-president of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva and guests acquainted themselves with the exhibition. 8 young artists studying at the International Mobile Art Academy participate in the exhibition being held with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Culture, the Russian Culture Foundation and the International Programs Directorate. In addition, works by Alexander Petrovsky, a member of the Russian Artists Union, Honoured Artist of the country, are also among the works displayed at the exhibition.


All works being displayed at the exhibition have been created within 5 to 6 days. 64 works by young artists are shown here. The exhibition will continue for two weeks. The subjects of the works included primarily the Baku Boulevard, coastal area, Icherisheher, historical monuments, the Flag Square, the Heydar Aliyev Center and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Art works have been drawn on canvases or cardboards using oil paint. The works attract attention with originality and colours.


Being a know-how program of long education, the Mobile Art Academy is a project by the International Programs Directorate. Objective of the project is to hold events in order to arouse interest in young people to culture and art and reveal their creative abilities.


Having viewed the exposition, Leyla Aliyeva wished success to the exhibition.
