The movie “Arshyn mal alan” is demonstrated and a concert by Azerbaijani masters of art takes place in the city of Cannes

On July 7, the movie “Arshyn mal alan”, filmed in 1945, was shown within the Days of Azerbaijani Culture being held in the city of Cannes, with organizational support from  the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. Filmed on the basis of a musical comedy of the same name by  great Azerbaijani composer Uzeir Hajibeyli and included in the golden fund of the Azerbaijani movie history, this movie is considered to be a unique sample of art first of all in terms of delivering the colour of Baku early in the 20^th century to the audience.

The movie was shown to the French audience with subtitles in French.

After the demonstration of the film, a concert by “Natig” Rhythm Group and the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble took place in La Croisette Boulevard of Cannes. Azerbaijan’s First Lady, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva attended the concert with her family members.

At the concert, members of “Natig” Rhythm Group performed their most famous compositions. 

The performance by the Azerbaijan State Dance Ensemble added special mood to the evening.

The Days of Azerbaijani Culture held in Cannes during 4 days finished with this concert.
