The 4th Mugham TV Contest starts with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation
The 4th Mugham TV Contest started with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and based on a project by the Culture Foundation of Azerbaijan.
The first day of the Contest was remembered with interesting performances. First, 11 out of 21 young contestants that had gained the right to perform at the International Mugham Centre as a result of the selection tours were presented. Then the singers performed accompanied by the “Mugham” Instrumental Group.
48 singers out of more than 500 young contestants passed to the next stage and 21 out of them gained the right to perform on the Baku scene.
On the first day of the Contest, which was remembered with interesting performances, “Sona Bulbullar”, “Kuchelere su sepmishem”, “Shushanin daghlary” and other popular songs, as well as tasnifs were presented to the audience by young singers.
The Forth Mugham TV Contest will be held twice a week, on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. All concerts of the Contest will be broadcast live through the Azerbaijan Television.
