The 6th Mugham TV Contest comes to the end

The Mugham TV Contest–2017, held on the basis of the Azerbaijan Culture Foundation’s project, supported by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, with the organizational support from the Azerbaijani Television, with participation of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, came to the end. Young khanendehs competed for the first place during three months.

 

On June 12, the finals of the contest took place at the Heydar Aliyev Centre.

 

In the finals of the 6th Mugham TV Contest, seven khanendehs – Nurlan Namazov, Sama Sultanova, Valid Abdullayev, Ravana Amiraslanly,  Majid Asri,  Almakhanum Ahmadli and  Parviz Gasymov – performed.

 

Then, members of the jury – People’s Artists Alibaba Mammadov, Arif Babayev, Sakina Ismailova, Mansum Ibrahimov, Secretary of the Azerbaijan Writers Union Ilgar Fahmi, Honoured Persons of Art Sardar Farajov and Nadir Akhundov were invited to the consultation room to determine winners.

 

First, diploma winners of the contest were awarded.

 

By a decision of the jury, Almakhanum Ahmadli was awarded the Grand-Prix of the 6th Mugham TV Contest.

 

Young khanendeh Parviz Gasymov won the first place in the contest. The khanendeh was also presented the “Sympathy of the Audience” award.

 

The second place went to Sama Sultanova and Ravana Amiraslanly, with Nurlan Namazov, Valid Abdullayev and Majid Asri being awarded the third place.

 

Prizes were presented to the winners by members of the jury.

 

Speaking after the awarding ceremony, People’s Artist Alibaba Mammadov expressed his profound gratitude to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, First Vice-president, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador Mehriban Aliyeva on behalf of the jury for their high support provided to the development of the mugham art.

 

Then, the winners performed the Garabagh Shikastasi and the state anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
