Azerbaijani music evening takes place in Beijing with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation

A concert programme called “Azerbaijani Music Evening” took place with the joint organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan’s Embassy in Beijing, supported by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries.

Among the onlookers of the concert, one of the events held by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to popularize and promote the Azerbaijani culture abroad, were leading persons and officials of the Chinese People’s Association, the Foreign Ministry, Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, Secretary General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization Vladimir Norov, ambassadors of Turkey, Russia, Austria, Luxembourg and a few other countries to Beijing, diplomats, people of science, representatives of Beijing’s general public, as well as Azerbaijanis living and working in this country.

Speaking before the concert, Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Beijing Akram Zeynally noted that the Azerbaijan-China relations have developed in all directions recent years.

Touching upon the cooperation between the two countries in the humanitarian sphere, ambassador A.Zeynally talked about the cooperation, of which foundation was laid two years earlier by the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. It was brought to attention that the said document embodies holding of various events with the objective of making the two friendly nations closer, as well as mutually introducing cultures. It is not by accident that the Azerbaijan-China friendship concert with joint organizational support of the Association and the Foundation last year was successful. The concert entitled “Azerbaijani Music Evening” is making its contribution to continuing this tradition and promoting the Azerbaijani culture more broadly in China.

It was noted that headed by Azerbaijan’s First Vice-president Mehriban Aliyeva, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation has been playing a matchless role in worthily presenting and promoting the Azerbaijani culture abroad.

Then, Azerbaijani masters of art went onto the scene. Azerbaijan’s well-known instrumental band “Amarok” and dance group “Talent” performed Azerbaijan’s popular and composer’s songs, as well as national dances.

The audience welcomed the performances of Azerbaijani masters of art with applauses.
