A concert by the Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra takes place at the Kharibulbul Festival

The Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra named after Uzeir Hajibeyli performed with a concert programme in the framework of the Kharibulbul International Music Festival, May 11.

The concert programme was arranged at the country estate of Mehmandarovs, of which inauguration took place two days before, after the reconstruction works carried out by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. One of the moments attracting the attention was that the concert was conducted by Mustafa Mehmandarov, a representative of the Mehmandarovs family, conductor of the Azerbaijan State Symphonic Orchestra, a laureate of international contests.

Saying he was proud of being in the home of his father and grandfather, the conductor shared his impressions with us: “As you know, recently Shusha has hosted a grandiose event. I am very happy to have been a participant of such an event. This concert programme too was presented in the framework of the Kharibulbul International Music Festival. Frankly speaking, I could not have thought I would ever perform with a concert in Shusha. Realized by the staff of the State Symphonic Orchestra named after Uzeir Hajibeyli I am working with, the concert delighted me specifically, in person. I want to express my deep gratitude to the President for the high-level repair and restoration of this estate. I hope, hence, this place will always be open to guests, as seen from its name, and will be full of guests, and grandiose event would take place here. At the same time, this place would play a great part in conveying our history to future generations.”

String symphonies “Arazbary” by Uzeir Hajibeyli and “In memory of Nizami” by Fikret Amirov, as well as fragments from Niyazi’s “Lyrical dance”, Tofig Guliyev’s “Lullaby”, Uzeir Hajibeyli’s “Arshyn mal alan” music comedy and “Sary Gelin” popular song were performed at the concert.

The concert programme was welcomed by the audience.
