An exhibition dedicated to the jubilee of the National Leader is opened at the Federative Council of the Russian Federal Assembly
On May 15, inauguration of the exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the National Leader took place at the Federation Council of the Russian Federation’s Federal Assembly, with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Chairperson of the National Assembly of the Republic of Azerbaijan Sahiba Gafarova, assistant to the Azerbaijani President Anar Alakbarov, ambassador of Azerbaijan to the Russian Federation Polad Bulbuloghlu, MPs, leadership of TASS Agency, members of the Federation Council and other officials attended the event.
Photos reflecting various periods of National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s life and activities are showcased at the exhibition.
Opening the ceremony, chairperson of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenvo shared her thoughts about the life and political activity of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, the builder of contemporary Azerbaijan.
Speaking at the event, chairperson of the National Assembly Sahiba Gafarova said that over 35 year-period of Azerbaijan’s modern history is associated with eminent political person Heydar Aliyev, a builder of the national statehood, a great human who made his name be eternally written in our country’s history, and devoted his life to serving for the well-being of the people of Azerbaijan.
It was brought to attention that Heydar Aliyev’s leadership abilities, his far-sighted policy and strong will have been shown to be prominent both during the soviet period and also at crucial times of Azerbaijan. After Heydar Aliyev came to leadership in Azerbaijan in 1969, the vector of management fundamentally changed in all areas of life.
Heydar Aliyev’s matchless role in the development of relations with Russia based on cooperation on equal rights, respecting each-other’s interests and non-interfering with each-other’s internal affairs and strengthening of these ties after Azerbaijan regained its independence was specifically noted. It was brought to attention that historical and kind neighbourhood traditions, deep relations, political dialogue and humanitarian cooperation between our states have been dynamically developing thanks to tireless endeavours of the heads of states, Ilham Aliyev and Vladimir Putin.
It was underscored that Heydar Aliyev’s historical prediction has now become true, and currently, speedy restoration works are carried out on the liberated-from-occupation territories, and large-scale infrastructure projects are implemented.
In the artistic part of the event, children told pieces from National Leader Heydar Aliyev’s favourite poems, in the Azerbaijani ad Russian languages.
