A closing concert of the Space of Mugam 6th İnternational Music Festival takes place at the Heydar Aliyev Center
On June 25, a closing concert of the Space of Mugam 6th International Music Festival took place at the Heydar Aliyev Center.
Numerous foreign guests attended the event, along with renowned persons of science and culture of Azerbaijan.
The Space of Mugam 6th International Music Festival was held with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Ministry of Culture, enjoying the support of the Ministry of Science and Education, and the National Conservatoire of Azerbaijan. Musicians from Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Israel, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, Greece, the Great Britain, Mali, India, Jordan and Egypt attended this year’s festival.
The closing concert of the festival was launched by “Natig” Rhythm Group. Performances of People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Alim Gasymov and dance by “Mirvari” Group made the evening more colourful.
Invited onto the scene, chairperson of the Jury of the International Mugham Contest for singing and instrumental performance, rector of the National Conservatoire, People’s Artist Siyavush Kerimi talked about the significance of the festival, and the care and attention shown towards mugham in Azerbaijan.
Deputy Culture Minister Murad Huseynov too spoke at the event.
Then, winners of the International Music festival were awarded.
At the evening, which continued with an artistic programme, joint performances of famous kamancha player Imamyar Hasanov, People’s Artist Natig Shirinov, tarzan Rufat Hasanov, musicians Umid Shirinov and Hikmet Shirinov were heard were listened to.
At the closing concert, winners of the 6th International Music Festival shared the scene with their teachers– People’s artists Elchin Hashimov, Fargana Gasymova, Honoured artists Elnur Ahmadov, Shirzad Fataliyev, Tayyar Bayramov etc. The final accord of the concert was hit by the Karabakh Shikastasi, and this song was performed by People’s Artist Mansum Ibrahimov together with all participants of the concert.
