Humanitarian aid by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation is delivered to an earthquake-hit region of Türkiye

With a view to providing support to victims of the earthquake that occurred in Türkiye on February 6 and caused numerous deaths, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation sent a humanitarian aid to the brotherly country, following the instruction of First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva.

 

Today, a special aircraft, taking medical facilities and equipment, including various medicines, oxygen masks, filtration systems, bandages, spine boards, stretchers, first-aid means, etc., as well as warm clothing for people suffering from the tragedy landed in Türkiye. Sent on an official journey to Türkiye, employees of the Foundation delivered the humanitarian aid to citizens suffering from the tragedy in the earthquake-hit region.

 

Having been on a trip to the earthquake region, President of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan met, at the Gaziantep Airport, with the employees of the Foundation who delivered the humanitarian aid to the brotherly country on the instruction of First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva. Conveying the condolences of President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva in connection with the tragedy, representative of the Foundation Elvin Aslanov said the people of Azerbaijan and all companies of the country have mobilized to provide necessary support to the brotherly country.

 

Thanking the state and people of Azerbaijan for their mobilization in response to the tragedy in Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said: “I want to thank my brother Ilham and sister Mehriban on behalf of myself, and the nation!” Saying that he was aware of the Azerbaijani people’s joining the humanitarian aid campaign for the victims of the earthquake, and about the aid to be sent, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said that as Türkiye was side by side with Azerbaijan during the Patriotic War, now Azerbaijan is side by side with Türkiye on such a difficult day. “I thank you on behalf of myself, my family, and our people. We are together not only today, but will also be as long as we are alive. We’ll go on moving forward as one nation, two states!”
