The first Summer Olympic School in Greece comes to an end

The First Summer Olympic School organized in Greece for coach-teachers, active youth and volunteers following the initiative from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and joint organizational support from the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan and the International Olympic Academy has come to an end.


On August 12, a ceremony of closure of the summer school was held at the International Olympic Academy.


Academy’s director Dionissis Gangas and Honoured dean Constantinos Georgiadis informed of the school’s successful completion. They emphasized that the value attached in Azerbaijan to the Olympic values may be an example for other countries.


Head of the press service of the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan  Gabil Mehdiyev thanked the management of the International Olympic Academy for the high-level organization of the seminar.


Then the active participants of the seminar were presented certificates of the International Olympic Academy.


On August 13, the participants of the Summer Olympic School will leave for Athens. Here they will familiarize themselves with Panaseanic Stadium and visit other historical places of the city.
