Azerbaijani culture is presented in Switzerland within the Snow Polo World Cup

On January 27, the opening of the 33rd Snow Polo World Cup took place in the city of Saint Moritz.

Baku hosted the first European Championship for Arena Polo in 2015 and the World Cup for Arena Polo in 2013, 2014 and 2016. The national team of Azerbaijan was awarded a gold medal at the European Championship.

Within the Snow Polo World Cup arranged from January 27 to January 29, Azerbaijan’s history and culture were presented with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s support. Corners have been arranged by the Azerbaijan Equestrian Federation on the territory where the competitions are taking place, with the support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, to promote our country’s music, cuisine, literature, and the Garabagh horses.

On the ground where competitions were taking place, printing materials, sports suits, presentation and awarding ceremonies and press conferences used the logotype “Land of Fire”, promoting Azerbaijan.

At “Baku Moritz” evening to be arranged for guest on the second day of the competitions, the guests will be presented dishes from our national cuisine prepared by the Azerbaijan Culinary Centre, as well as a music programme with participation of the Azerbaijan State Song and Dance Ensemble.

The next European Polo Championship to be arranged by the International Polo Federation in 2020 will take place in Gabala town.
