Photo album ‘Heydar Aliyev: a part of my heart is in Russia’ published in Moscow

Photo album ‘Heydar Aliyev: A part of my heart is in Russia’ has been published by ITAR-TASS Agency and Heydar Aliyev Foundation on the 85th jubilee of outstanding statesman and political figure, national leader of Azerbaijan Heydar Aliyev.

Chairman of State Duma of the Russian Federation Boris Gryzlov presented the first copy of the photo album to President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on May 13 during his official visit to Baku.


The photo album includes over 400 unique photographs reflecting different times of the biography of Heydar Aliyev – years of education, his actions as the leader of Azerbaijan in soviet time, member of Political Bureau of Central Committee of Communist Party of Soviet Union, First Deputy Chairman of the Soviet of Ministers of USSR in Moscow.


Foreword of the photo album has been written by Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP, and Vitali Ignatenko, Director General of ITAR-TASS.


Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva writes: ‘Heydar Aliyev is not with us at the moment, but this is physical absence only. Azerbaijan he presented with the new life lives and develops, his immortal ideas realized with great confidence and love by his successors, including Heydar Aliyev Foundation live. Numerous projects the Foundation has performed since its establishment in the leading spheres of public life prove it. ITAR-TASS News Agency and Heydar Aliyev were connected by long-term sincere ties. This is why we welcomed with gratitude the initiative of ITAR-TASS on publication of such an album. We present the opportunity of familiarization with unique shots on life and activity of Heydar Aliyev.’


V.Ignatenko notes the era Azerbaijan lived under leadership of prominent political figure and statesman of our time Heydar Aliyev has entered the history as the era of Heydar Aliyev. He writes: ‘All the life of Heydar Aliyev is connected to Russia. It is very significant for us, for Russians. Heydar Aliyev loved Russia and Russia replied to that love. So, we have the right to consider him our Countryman too’. 


The second volume of the photo album published under the editorship of Executive Director of Heydar Aliyev Foundation Anar Elekberov and First Deputy Director General of ITAR-TASS Mikhail Gusman will be published under the title ‘Heydar Aliyev: All my life is in Azerbaijan’.


First copies of the album will be given to participants and visitors of the solemn evening ITAR-TASS, Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Embassy of Azerbaijan to Russia will arrange in Moscow on the 85th jubilee of Heydar Aliyev.
