A series of books prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation were presented to the National Library of South Africa

Ambassador of Azerbaijan to South Africa Elkhan Polukhov met with head of the National Library of this country in the city of Pretoria, chairman of the National Libraries Conference John Kvale Tsebe.


E.Polukhov informed his interlocutor of the rapid development in Azerbaijan, care and attention shown by the state towards education, development of science, as well as libraries functioning in our republic.


Emphasizing the special role of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the issues of new publications, the Ambassador presented a series of books prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation to the National Library of South Africa.


Armenian-Azerbaijani and Daghlyg Garabagh conflict and its grave consequences were also discussed at the meeting.


E.Polukhov underlined the significance of developing relations between the national libraries of the two countries. Noting that they were interested in building such relations, J. Tsebe said they were ready to make any necessary steps to provide national libraries with information about our countries.


At the end of the meeting, an Azerbaijani diplomat acquainted himself with the library. He was told the National Library of South Africa is the largest and richest library in the African Continent.
