The Heydar Aliyev Foundation publishes “Gabusnameh”

The Heydar Aliyev Foundation has republished the book “Gabusnameh”, which had been originally published in 2009, in Azerbaijani and Russian languages.


Famous in many Eastern countries, publication of this book is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.


The book “Gabusnameh” is an ethical and didactic work embracing significant matters associated with education and ethics. This work has been written in 1082-1083 in reference to Unsurulmaali Keykavus oghlu Gilanshah, the Shah of  the state of Gilan located in the south of Azerbaijan, today’s Iran.


Written in admonition genre, the work is, along with being of simple style, comprised of live and entertaining stories and wise words.


Gabusnameh used to be a desk book of medieval rulers, religious persons, scholars and teachers. This book has for centuries played a significant role in education of young generations.
