Booklet ‘New Revivers of Mugham’ published by Heydar Aliyev Foundation

Booklet ‘New Revivers of Mugham’ has been published by Heydar Aliyev Foundation. The booklet provides a broad view over the projects implemented by Heydar Aliyev Foundation to preserve, globally represent and increase understanding about mugham. 


The booklet opens with foreword by Mrs Mehriban Aliyeva, President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Goodwill Ambassador of UNESCO and ISESCO, MP.


Mrs Aliyeva underlines mugham, a rich and authentic music art created by Azerbaijani nation throughout the flow of history, which has lived through long centuries and joined eternity, was included by UNESCO in the ‘Masterpiece of Oral and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity’ as the authentic and rich monument significant both for national and global culture.


Mehriban Aliyeva notes Heydar Aliyev Foundation has performed a number of successful projects to preserve, develop and promote the national values, including the art of mugham, to pass to the future generations its richness and deep philosophy.


The booklet contains detailed information on projects implemented by Heydar Aliyev Foundation to preserve, globally represent and increase understanding about mugham such as a music album ‘Garabagh Singers Collection’ released under the project ‘Azerbaijani Mughams’, International Mugham Center, Mugham Contest Programme.


The booklet includes DVD of gala concert by the ‘Mugham TV Contest – 2007’ winners.
