A ceremony in Rome devoted to the 20th anniversary of regain by Azerbaijan of its state independence

A ceremony devoted to the 20^th anniversary of regain by Azerbaijan of its state independence was held in Rome, December 2, 2011. Organized at the Roman Opera following the initiative of and with support from the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and our country’s Embassy in Italy, the ceremony was attended by First Lady of Azerbaijan, President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Mehriban Aliyeva and State Secretary of the Italian Foreign Affairs Ministry Martha Dassu.

Within the framework of the event, an exhibition of copper works, musical instruments, carpets, as well as works displayed at traditionally held in Baku “Maiden Tower” was organized.

In addition to various editions prepared by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in Italian about Azerbaijan, presentation of the “Azerbaijan” edition was also held within the event.

Azerbaijani masters of art performed at the event with an interesting concert program. Samples of the Azerbaijani cuisine was presented after the concert. Then participants of the event were presented editions of the Heydar Aliyev devoted to Azerbaijan.
