National Mugham Contest

National Mugham Contest was held with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Culture Ministry, enjoying the support of the Ministry of Science and Education and the National Conservatoire of Azerbaijan.

The National Mugham Contest was held on the categories of singing and instrumental performance.

On April 30, names of the winners were announced at the National Conservatoire of Azerbaijan, and then they were rewarded.

According to the unanimous opinion of the Jury, the 1^st place on singing went to Mirali Saryzade, while Khayal Huseynov was awarded the 2^nd place and Zumrud Mammadova and Dashgyn Kurchayly the 3^rd places.

In the category of instrumental performance, Vagif Tahmazov was awarded the 1^st place, with Jahandar Mikayilov being honoured with the 2^nd place, and Bayramali Aliyev and Soltan Nadirov the 3^rd place.

In the singing and instrumental categories, each winner of the 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd places gained 7,000, 5,000 and 3,000 AZN, respectively.
