Presentation of “Baku-2015” first European Games in Paris

An event devoted to the presentation of “Baku-2015” first European Games took place in Paris, with the organizational support of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and Azerbaijan’s Embassy in France, November 26, 2014.

Azerbaijan’s First Lady, Chairperson of the first European Games Organizing Committee Mehriban Aliyeva attended the ceremony.

Within the framework of the event, a photo-exhibition about Azerbaijan and an exhibition called “We Together” devoted to “Baku-2015” was arranged. Works by 20 sculptors from Azerbaijan have been demonstrated at the exhibition  comprised of bronze statues. The guests of the event were presented various publications of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation about Azerbaijan, as well as booklets devoted to the first European Games.

Azerbaijan’s First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva, Minister of City, Youth and Sports of France Thierry Bayard and member of the French National Assembly, twice Olympic Champion David Douillet spoke at the ceremony.

Video-presentation devoted to “Baku-2015” first European Games took place at the event.

Attended by representatives of  public and political circles of France, persons of culture and sports, the event continued with a concert programme by women-violinists of the State Chamber Orchestra of Azerbaijan named after Gara Garayev.
