World Snow Polo competition

Organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Equestrian Federation of the Republic of Azerbaijan, our country participated in the 40^th World Cup for snow polo held during 24 to 26 January 2025 in Saint Moritz of Switzerland. “Land of Fire” team of Azerbaijan competed in the finale against the Swiss team “The Kusnacht Practice” and took the 2^nd place in this competition.  

An Azerbaijani pavilion, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, also functioned within the competition.

Participants had a chance to become familiar with photos included in the publication “Azerbaijan. Inspired by Nature”, video materials, as well as various exhibitions related to the ancient game of Chovkan in the pavilion. Here were also showcased products of Azerbaijan’s various national brands. Virtual tours to our country’s sightseeing was also organized for the guests.
