The Azerbaijani pavilion at the 61st Venice Biennale
Azerbaijan was represented at the 61st Venice Biennale International Art Exhibition, organized by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, enjoying the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Italy.
The philosophical legacy of great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Imadeddin Nasimi formed the conceptual basis of the project “The Attention” by Honoured Artist Faig Ahmad.
At the centre of the pavilion is presented a carpet, the basic and repeated element in the artistic experience of the artist.
One of the most attractive features of the project is the synthesis of the traditional art with state-of-the-art technologies. Parallels were built between the Hurufi philosophy and modern quantum physics.
