The secondary school named after Mirza Fatali Akhundov in Alyushaghy village of Samukh district was constructed by the Heydar Aliyev Foundation.
Constructed in 1953, this old education institution had become unfit for use. Construction of a new school complex consisting of 4 buildings was launched in 2024. Classrooms, laboratories for physics, biology and chemistry, informatics and STEAM centre, rooms for military training, first aid and labour training, a room for preschool education, a library, a canteen, assembly and sports halls were created here, and an outdoor sports ground was built on the school’s territory. The school has been provided with necessary furniture and equipment, with subject rooms and laboratories being equipped with visual aids. Renovation and greenery planting works were carried out in the school yard, planting trees and shrubs.
