The Central Hospital in Ujar district was built following the Heydar Aliyev Foundation’s initiative. On 6 October 2015, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev attended the inauguration of the hospital.
A two-storied complex, comprised of 4 buildings, was constructed in a 1.2-hectar part of the 4.4-hectar land plot allocated for the hospital. The complex accommodates such departments as surgical operation, therapy, paediatrics, resuscitation, gynaecology, critical care medicine, diagnostics, physical therapy and reception, as well as a consultation policlinic, a perinatal centre, a laboratory, an emergency station and an administrative building. The hospital accommodates 118 berths. All the departments have been provided with up-to-date medical equipment.
